In San Diego we have a saying: May gray, June gloom. Unfortunately, that saying has been holding true as we’ve been plagued with clouds for the last few days. Despite the clouds, it hasn’t been too cold down here but, I did have to hang up the shorts and tanks for a few days. Being someone who is perpetually cold I love having a few sweaters that can be worn year round. As we approach summer Garrett and I tend to go out for later dinners and attend a lot of beach bonfires so having something that creates he perfect level of warmth and comfort is necessary.
I love oversized sweaters. An oversized sweater is the best for transitioning from season to season because you can wear it as a dress, like I did, when it’s warm enough to show leg, or layer it over/under anything when you need to bundle up. And of course, they’re extremely comfortable.
I always keep my sweaters that are lightweight and colorful in my wardrobe year round. This sweater has a large woven/crochet knit so its not too heavy. Also, although it may be gloomy and chilly it’s still the summer months, I like to keep in touch with that by keeping color in my wardrobe as much as possible. I love the 70’s style colors of this dress, I kept with that theme and wore my new platform heels, they’re much higher than expected but fun to strut around in!
