Are you so busy that Valentine’s Day completely snuck up on you? I’m with you. Luckily, Garrett and I both agreed to take a backseat this Valentine’s Day. We’re hoping to do some traveling this year and want to save every penny we can. For us, experiences trump gifts any day. But, that doesn’t mean we don’t want to show each other how much we care. Today I’m sharing the complete guide to your last minute V-Day plans. The best part? Everything is on a budget!
5 Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts
1: 52 Reasons Why I Love You Cards– I gave this to Garrett last year! All you have to do is take a deck of cards and write a reason why you love your significant other on each card in the deck. If you have time decorate them with sticker, glitter, cut outs and pictures!
2. 5 Sense Gift– Give them a gift that speaks to each of the senses. For sight wear lingerie, for smell give him a sample of your perfume, for sound play your favorite song together, for taste make his favorite food and touch you can figure out on your own :). The options for this are endless, it al depends on your budget.
3. Love Letter– I asked Garrett what he would want while I was writing this and he responded, “A Love Letter”. I never knew how much my cards meant to him and apparently need to start writing!
4. Tickets– I’m big on experiences. Tickets are a great gift because they give you another date to look forward to!
5. Pictures Of You– This could go G-rated or X-rated. Either frame picture of the two of you from the previous year and share them with him as memories you share. Or, take some sexy photos of yourself and make him a little black book. I assure you he’ll love it!
5 Last Minute Valentine’s Day Outfits
For (fancy) Date Night– Go sparkly and fitted, a very understated sexy. I imagine something with a high neckline and hair pulled back. Keep him curious about what he’ll see later! Here are some faves… one, two, three.
For (casual) Date Night– Any pink or red feminine dress you have in your closet with a simple heel. I look awful in red so I would opt for this pink Topshop dress. I love that it has frills and florals, as well as, edgy details that separate it from what everyone else will be wearing. I wore silver heels to dress up the look and a striped bag to keep up with the mixed prints and styles. Also love this!
For Staying At Home– Why bother dressing up? Lingerie and a silky robe. It’s a gift in and of itself.
For Galentines Day– No date? No problem. This outfit really depend on what your doing, but I think a safe bet is always a cute romper or jumpsuit. Something with a flirty pattern like polka dots or lace will have you looking perfect from brunch to dinner.
5 Last Minute Valentine’s Day Recipes
G and I will most likely be spending out V-day at home, but we’re going to make it special by cooking something fancy at home and cracking open a bottle of wine. To me, it’s the perfect night. No pressure, one-on-one time with my man. Here are some recipes I love…
Crock Pot- Set it and forget it! If you’ve been dating for awhile, go for some ribs! Honestly, after making the post I’m really craving some ribs, so that’ll probably be my Valentine’s Day dinner! If you’re not ready to get that messy try some yummy pork chops.
Dessert– Most important part! Option 1: Cherry Cream Cheese Heart Shaped Pies. So cute! This would be more my taste, but Garrett would want…
Dessert- Garrett loves fruit and non-sweet desserts. Can you believe we’ve lasted five years?! I’m slowly getting him to come around. This Layered Strawberry Cake would be more his style.
