During my daily, ok hourly, Instagram scroll I’ve noticed a lot of these two trends popping up on my feed: Bell sleeves & Monochromatic looks. I decided to combine the two in this classic all black outfit. As fashion has begun transitioning into fall, the statement sleeve trend has transitioned with it. We saw statement sleeves take up popularity throughout the summer with dramatic ruffles and bows, but now that fall is approaching, bell sleeves have become the seasons top new style.
I love the versatility of this outfit. It’s simple, yet chic. This look could be worn to work, out for some cocktails, or on a date. I love that the bell sleeves on this top are made of a silky material, it makes the shirt look higher quality, and the contrasting fabrics make the sleeves stand out. When doing a monochromatic look mixing fabrics and textures is very important. The variety of textures/fabrics break up the look and highlight the individual pieces. Here I have a spandex top, with silk sleeves, jeans, and suede pumps. Plus, the stars on my leather bag, that pop against this all black outfit.
