Hi loves! Life has been so busy recently, after getting my wisdom teeth pulled I set straight to work. I’ve been trying to pick up extra shifts at my day job while going double time on blog posts so I’ll be prepared to go home next week. I’m looking forward to finally being able to style some sweaters and jackets for you ladies, but for now, here’s more of what December looks like in San Diego.
I feel sooo…. prairie chic in this sheer, layered maxi dress from ZARA. This outfit is a little outside of what you normally see me wear, but I saw another blogger with this dress and something sparked. It’s not cold here so I wear dresses year round and match the colors and prints to the season. This navy blue dress is perfect for the winter with it’s tiny floral like pattern and sheer fabric that’s layered to add drama and movement.
I couldn’t decide if I liked this dress better with or without the belt. I styled it both ways in the pictures so you could decide for yourselves. I like that the belt breaks up the all over pattern and brings attention to the waistline. I also like the overall old school western style the double buckle belt brings to the dress. However, I don’t like how the belt takes away from the flowy-ness of the dress. Regardless of the belt this dress does need some accessories. A fedora and silky sock booties added some modern touches to the look.
