It’s becoming very clear that I have an addiction to lace. I’ve been watching a lot of Say Yes To The Dress recently and every time I see a lace dress I’m like, “yessssss, buy that one” and I’m less than impressed by everything else. I’m not planning on getting married anytime soon, but I already know I’m going to be one of those brides that needs to try on 100 dresses to be sure- I’m very indecisive. And then, I’m probably going to fall in love with something way out of my budget and have to un-invite some relatives just to afford it. Fashion over family, am I right?! (JK!)
Lace doesn’t always have to be interpreted as soft and feminine. This dress features a gothic style lace, its high neckline and trumpet sleeves resemble a modern victorian silhouette. Old victorian style is another one of my favorites, it’s so elegant. I wanted to keep with the dark, dramatic style of the dress so I wore my favorite new ZARA boots. They are the perfect chunky grunge boot and make a statement with every outfit. Garrett tried to convince me not to buy them because he said they aren’t for the ‘everyday’, apparently after five years he still doesn’t know me. In my eyes everything can be worn everyday, you just have to wear it with confidence!
