Has anyone else noticed more white after Labor Day than they did all summer? That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but all-white looks have shown no sign of slowing down even with the fall season upon us. Apparently the ‘no white after Labor Day’ rule is a thing of the past! I’m personally very happy about this, San Diego summer is still going strong and I’m not ready to kick white out of my wardrobe. Thank you, global warming! Sometimes I wish I could move back to the East Coast just for the fall. Although the weather does eventually get cooler here, the fall atmosphere is nothing like the changing leaves and crisp air that blankets the East Coast. Ugh, I miss it!
I just recently purchased this dress from Haute and Rebellious. It was part of a small haul I did while they were having a 40% off sale. I love Haute and Rebellious, but I don’t shop there often because they don’t have the best return policy.
The first time I wore this dress, Garrett and I had gone a Tacos, Tequila & Beer Festival. It was the perfect dress considering it was almost 100 degrees that day, no joke! Everyone was walking around with sweat stained clothes in search of shade. Garrett and I made friends with one of the bartenders and they let us hang out under there tent when we needed a break from the sun! Luckily, although I was dripping sweat, the white didn’t show it! And, I loved that even in the bright sun this dress wasn’t see through. So, this dress passes the sun and sweat test! After the festival, when I took off the dress the whole butt was green from sitting in the grass! I thought it was ruined forever! Thankfully, I got it all out.
When I wore this dress at the beer festival I styled it with black tassel earrings, wedges and a straw bag. Slightly more summery than how I styled it here. I like that this dress has the potential to be worn in multiple seasons. Maybe a cute belt or an army style jacket for when it gets cooler?!!
SWIPE –> For earrings, bags and shoes!!
