I’m sure you guys are slowly catching onto my obsession with tights!! Tights are the best in San Diego because when it does get a little chilly they provide the perfect layer for your legs. They are an easy way to dress up your outfit and get into the season. If you are in a colder climate try layering your tights, put a nude pair underneath the keep you warm and then throw another layer of tights over them. I absolutely love the pattern on these tights! The polka dots combined with the flowers on the dress give a fun and girly vibe to the outfit. However, when you hike your dress up a little the tights mimic a garter belt and make your outfit a little bit sexier. Understated sexy is always the best way to go.
If you follow me on Instagram you already know that these shoes are my jam- they are my everyday go to. I find myself wearing booties as far into the summer as I can because I am so obsessed. These ones are from Nasty Gal, and are made of a vegan suede. What I love most about these booties is the double laces that stitch up the front. Unfortunately, the laces do come untied a lot but its worth the sacrafice. If your looking to elongate and slim your legs always look for shoes that have a pointed toe like these. Pointed toes will trick the eye into making your legs look like they go on forever. The tights also help your legs look longer, often when you wear a dress with booties and a bare leg it makes your legs look shorter because it looks like your legs are getting cut off above the ankle, where the boot starts. But, wearing tights will help lessen the contrast between your legs and your shoes so that your body and the outfit can flow.
This dress (similar) from Urban Outfitters has been one of my favorite purchases because it can be easily dressed up or down. For starters, it has an amazing fit. The top hugs you where it needs to without feeling/looking too tight. Then, the bottom flows out into an adorable skirt that twists and twirls when you move. We also have a few details that I love about this dress. For one, there is an open cut out in the back that ties at your neck and allows for a little skin to show. I usually try and steer away from things with back cut outs since it makes it difficult to wear a bra but this one sits right above the bra band so you can still wear your favorite bra and be comfy!
We also have the long sleeves that trumpet out at the hand with a delicate ruffle, this little feature is what sold me on the dress. I absolutely love the small details because I feel they are what makes a piece truly unique.
