I swear I didn’t mean to create so many outfit posts from my vacation pictures! It worked out well that some of my favorite vacation outfits were outfits I hadn’t shared with you guys yet. Plus, it’s allowed me to stay in vacation mode a little bit longer. As I mentioned in a previous post, I love that these picture are more natural/ real. As someone who admires other bloggers, and has studied their pictures, I always wondered how staged it all was. I want to make sure my followers see both sides of me. Although you may pick out the posts where I’m attempting model status against a perfectly lit backdrop, I want you to also see me with my friends and family, captured in those cliche vacay pics.
This was day 2 of our vacation, we had docked in St. Kitts without any specific plan, all we knew was we wanted a beach! After two taxi drivers almost got in a fight over our large group we agreed to go with one gentleman whose taxi looked like a safari bus. For just $5 a person he took us on a near 30 minute drive to one of the local beaches. On the way he pointed out landmarks and even stopped at a lookout point so we could capture some pictures. It was like our own private tour! At the lookout point we played with some monkeys and (attempted) to take pictures, the wind was brutal. There’s one picture of me where the wind is blowing up my entire dress, I wish I could post it here so you all could have a good laugh but… it’s not internet safe!
I was happy when we arrived at the beach to see more monkeys, I was determined to get the perfect picture with one! The monkey’s owner got really mad at Garrett and I because we had the camera set to a fast shutter so it took a ton of pictures! Apparently, for what I paid I was only supposed to take 4 pictures, ooops!! We spent the day enjoying the ocean, attempting to get a tan (I’m still pale as can be!), and sipping on some cocktails.
I stole this outfit straight off the Urban Outfitters model! I first fell in love with the dress, and then fell further in love with how the shoes paired with it. When I saw that the shoes were on sale ($19), I was sold. Denim shoes must be a thing right now because Zara also had a super cute pair that I was debating between, I ultimately went with the Urban sandals because the Zara pair was closed toe. This Urban Outfitters dress has an adorable baby doll fit and fun layered fabrics creating the essential summer dress. My only warning: don’t wear when it’s windy!!
