Listen up ladies! This is the best advice I’ll ever give on this blog. When your man messes up, don’t tell him to buy you flowers, tell him to buy you shoes. It’s a slow grooming process, but with some persistence one day he’ll make a mistake, look at you with his tail between his legs, and tell you to pick out any shoes you want. Because deep down what do you really want more? And don’t say for your man to stop messing up, because we all know that’s not realistic. Garrett made a little boo-boo a few weeks ago, I honestly wasn’t even mad, but he felt so bad that he told me he’d buy me any shoes I wanted. In that moment I wished he’d start messing up a bit more!
Subsequently, I picked out these black sock booties from TopShop. I already had them in a cart, they were just waiting for a credit card. Thankfully, it turned out to not be my credit card! I always have shopping carts picked out at my favorite stores. Yes, it’s possible I have an online shopping addiction… obsession… problem?! But, I like to watch things for a few weeks, see if they go on sale, and think about how I can wear them. If I can’t think of anything then they get booted. In my eyes in helps me save money and not make impulsive decisions.
Sock boots are a wardrobe staple because they look good with any type of bottom. They’re tight all the way up the ankle so sock boots are both sleek and slimming. With a dress or skirt sock boots look great because they elongate the appearance of the leg. Since there’s no gab between the shoe and the leg to disrupt the eye, the illusion that your leg extends all the way to your toes is created. This is also beneficial with cropped jeans, like the ones I’m wearing in this post. Personally, I find that this length of jeans can be quite awkward and disproportional. However, the right shoe can totally change this look.
Keep and eye out, I have a feeling I’ll be buying these shoes in a few more colors soon!
