Hello lovies! I have a cool trend that I’ve been seeing a lot of to share with you today. This trend comes in many forms, but the overall theme is exposed structure on the outside of the garment. Whether it be stitching, ribbing or seams. It’s an out-from-under architectural element that creates a shapely design. Because these lines mimic the cut of clothing they accent the body and can be quite flattering.
This Topshop dress is very structural. Maybe too much so, considering its very hard to move in. But so worth it for how it snatches in the waist and accentuates the assets. The sleeves have an amazingly designed ‘puff’ at the elbow. I’m such a sucker for well thought out designs. Little details like that are what makes a piece look unique, and anything unique looks more expensive!
I complimented the black caps on the sleeves with black over the knee boots and my baker boy hat. The hat was a last minute thought as I wanted to dress the outfit down a bit. I know, I never say that! This dress is so versatile because you can wear it to the office with some tights or out for a day shopping!
P.S I love this little ZARA bag because its the perfect combo of black and brown- aka- goes with everything. However, all the fringe beading is already falling off so I wouldn’t recommend buying :/
