This weekend I had the opportunity to work with a local boutique, Mimi & Red. Mimi & Red is the perfect boutique for your inner California girl. The Boho chic styles that line their walls all have something unique about them. From fun prints, to bold details and lux fabrics; everything had me swooning. The racks are stuffed full with a huge variety of clothing, I was almost overwhelmed because I wanted to take everything home with me! Despite every item featuring its own unique details, the clothing still holds true to the cool, laidback, effortless California style. What more could you ask for?! Personally, I love when my clothes do the work for me. Making me look amazing, but not like I tried too hard. Am I right?!
Not only do I love that Mimi & Red is a one stop spot for all your cool-girl California styles, but I love that all the employees actually are “cool girls”. Each time I was at the boutique I noticed the employees and customers talking as if they had been friends forever. While I browsed/ stood at checkout I ease dropped (oops!) on the employees helping a few guests, each time they went above and beyond to help their customer find the perfect outfit or resolve their dilemma. As someone who works in customer service, I really appreciate when I witness companies that take pride in building relationships with their guests.
As I said, I just worked with Mimi & Red over the weekend, so you’re probably wondering how I got this post up so quick! After our photoshoot on Saturday I came home and looked at the photos as I always do, I was so excited about this jacket that I decided to stop what I was working on and focus on this post. Which led to me restructure my whole post schedule and Instagram feed to fit in all the looks I did this weekend sooner than originally planned. What can I say? I love a good project!
This jacket is by Olivaceous, an LA based brand powered by women. I was attracted to the fringe details on this jacket because I love the movement the fringe creates when you do just about anything! To keep with the Boho styling I wore this bull skull tank that I got from Pacsun ages ago. The bag is also from Mimi & Red, however I couldn’t find it online so you’ll have to check out their store if you really want it! Mimi & Red has two San Diego locations, one just walking distance from where I live…. ut-oh!
Hope you enjoyed this post!
